Before sending

Information that improves the first response

Product range

Minimum and maximum dimensions, weight, orientation, surface, fragility and samples.

Pack and film

Finished bag size, seal style, film structure, reel data, print repeat and coding.

Production line

Sustained output, upstream delivery, downstream equipment, floor space and utilities.

Improve the first technical response

Send the information that changes the machine specification

You do not need a finished engineering document. A clear product and pack summary, photographs and representative samples are enough to begin a useful discussion.

Product

  • Minimum and maximum dimensions and weight
  • Shape, orientation, surface and handling risks
  • Normal production variation and representative samples
  • How the product arrives at the wrapper

Pack and film

  • Finished bag length, width and seal position
  • Approved pack sample or drawing
  • Film data sheet, reel details and unwind
  • Artwork repeat, eye mark, coding and inspection

Production line

  • Required sustained good packs per minute
  • Batch sizes and format-change pattern
  • Upstream and downstream equipment
  • Floor space, utilities and acceptance requirements

Need to send drawings, video or samples?

Prepare before submitting

Use the technical guides to identify the evidence your enquiry needs

Projects are reviewed more efficiently when the product path, production film, machine boundary, site interfaces and acceptance expectations are clear.

Build the technical brief

Define product, pack, output, film, feeding, integration and support requirements.

Buyer’s guide

Understand quotation scope

Compare the base machine with feeding, options, trials, installation and complete-line work.

Cost-factor guide

Plan samples and testing

Prepare representative products, production film and measurable good-pack criteria.

Trial and FAT guide
Improve the first engineering review

Send product, finished-pack and film measurements as separate items

Include the minimum, nominal and maximum product dimensions in the intended orientation, the required finished bag and seal positions, plus the production reel specification. Photographs or video of the upstream product arrival can also help define feeding and pitch.

Product

Length, width, height, weight, orientation, variation, fragility and any surface or handling limitation.

Pack and film

Approved pack or drawing, web width, material structure, reel data, unwind, print repeat, eye mark and code area.

Production duty

Accepted packs per minute, run length, upstream arrival, downstream equipment, available space and utilities.
